Call for Application

Overview of the Call for Application

The Call for Application (also referred to as Call for Proposal) represents the starting element of the Transnational Access process within the WP11 TNA platform.

Through a Call, the system makes available one or more access opportunities to specific hosting institutions, defining the conditions and requirements for the submission of Research Proposals.

Each Call for Application contains all the information necessary for Fellows to assess the opportunity and submit an application consistent with the objectives and constraints established.

Creation of the Call for Application

The creation of a Call for Application is the exclusive responsibility of the TNA Manager.

During the creation phase, the TNA Manager defines:

At the moment of creation, the Call for Application is automatically set to Draft status.

The selection of hosting institutions is limited exclusively to Hosts previously configured within the platform by the TNA Manager.

Management and Publication of the Call

A Call in Draft status may be modified by the TNA Manager until publication.

When the Call is published:

Publication represents the official opening of the Call and activates the entire application workflow.

Call for Application Statuses

A Call for Application follows a lifecycle based on predefined statuses:

Transition from one status to another is permitted only to the TNA Manager and occurs according to precise rules defined by the system.

Status management enables the platform to strictly control available actions and the visibility of the Call at different stages of the process.

Closure, Cancellation, and Archiving of the Call

Closure of a Call occurs when the opening period has ended or when the TNA Manager decides to interrupt the possibility of submitting new applications.

Cancellation of a Call may occur in the presence of unforeseen events or organizational decisions that make continuation of the process impossible.

A cancelled Call is no longer visible to Fellows and cannot be reactivated.

Archiving represents the final state of the Call and occurs when all related activities (evaluations, visits, reporting) have been completed.

Visibility and Operational Restrictions

The actions permitted on a Call for Application depend on its current status.

In particular:

This mechanism ensures process consistency and prevents unauthorized modifications in advanced lifecycle stages.
