The Babylonian Talmud section allows users to consult and analyse the Talmudic text through a filtered search system combined with interactive translation from Hebrew into English.

Similarly to the *Corpus Iuris Canonici*, this section also supports the creation of notes and annotations on the texts, enabling users to add observations, comments, or references to specific lines or translated sections (see the section dedicated to Notes and Annotations management).

In addition to note handling, this module introduces dedicated features for dynamic reading, on-demand translation, and data export, providing researchers with a complete and interactive consultation tool.

From the portal homepage, by selecting the Babylonian Talmud tab, users access the section dedicated to the Talmudic corpus.

The search interface is clear and minimalist, organised in a left-side panel containing the following elements:

• Free text search

A text field for entering keywords or Hebrew terms;

• Select Order

A dropdown menu used to select the main Talmudic order (for example *Seder Moed*);

• Apply / Reset

Buttons for applying or clearing the selected filters.

Initially, only the Order filter is visible. Once an order is selected (for example *Seder Moed*), an additional dropdown menu appears dynamically:

• Select Treatise, which allows the selection of the corresponding tractate (for example *Rosh Hashanah*).

This progressive behaviour supports guided navigation within the different sections of the corpus, ensuring a coherent and intuitive selection process.

After configuring the filters and clicking Apply, the system displays the list of available texts corresponding to the selected parameters.

Each entry represents a specific section of the Talmud (for example *Seder Moed – Rosh Hashanah, 2a*). The entries are:

• displayed as clickable links to access the detailed content;
• organised into numbered pages, with the active page highlighted at the bottom;
• automatically updated based on the selected filters.

The search panel remains permanently visible on the left, while the Notes and Export buttons are available in the upper-right area of the page, providing access to personal annotations or translated content download.

By clicking on a title in the results list, users are taken to the detail page of the Talmudic text.

The interface displays the original Hebrew text, divided into multiple lines and organised into readable blocks.

When the cursor hovers over a line of text:

• the line is highlighted to indicate the current focus;
• clicking on the line permanently highlights it and opens a translation sidebar on the right.

This interaction enables precise and selective text analysis without reloading the page or disrupting the reading position.

The right-hand sidebar, labelled Translation, displays the English translation of the selected line.

The translation updates automatically with each new selection, allowing immediate comparison between the original text and its translated version.

This dynamic translation system provides:

• improved readability for users not proficient in Hebrew;
• the ability to focus on individual textual passages;
• a smooth and uninterrupted reading experience.

The Babylonian Talmud section uses the standard Export button, without translation-specific export options.

The export process generates a single file containing all the content available for the currently displayed section. Supported export formats include JSON and CSV, in line with ITSERR system standards.

During export, users may enable the option Include personal annotations to include notes associated with the consulted text lines (see the Notes functionality section).

This feature allows researchers to:

• save translated texts and annotations locally;
• process them using external linguistic or philological analysis tools;
• preserve the logical structure of relationships between text and notes, ensuring traceability and interoperability.

The Notes function, available in the top bar next to Export, allows users to create and consult personal notes linked to specific text lines.

The Babylonian Talmud section maintains the same graphical and functional structure as the rest of the platform, ensuring visual consistency and recognisability.

The interface includes:

• top tabs for navigation between corpora;
• the Logout button in the upper-right area;
• an institutional footer with the ITSERR project description, informational links (*About*, *Resources*, *Support*), and the official logos of MUR, RESILIENCE, and UNIPA.
