Table of Contents
Page discussions
Discussions are contextual conversations attached to specific items.
Page discussions appear inside project pages, event pages, resource pages, and document detail views. Their value is contextual memory: a question asked on the object itself is easier for future readers to understand than a detached email. Use page discussions when the content of the message only makes sense in relation to a specific object.
Where discussions appear:
- project pages
- events
- marketplace resources
- news items
Advantages
- keeps communication linked to the content
- preserves context
- allows multiple participants
Typical use cases
- asking questions about a resource
- discussing project details
- providing feedback
- clarifying metadata or content
Discussions are preferable to private messages when context matters.
