Notifications, favourites, and follows
HORTUS includes a notification system to keep users informed.
Notifications are the platform’s routing layer for recent activity. They are especially useful after comments, moderation changes, invitations, or object-level updates. Favourites and follows complement notifications by creating a personal awareness layer: instead of searching again from scratch, you can reopen saved people, projects, resources, tools, and searches from your own shortlist.
- Open notifications from the bell icon when you need to know what changed recently.
- Use Mark all as read to clear the visible unread state once you have processed the list.
- Use favourites to preserve a personal shortlist of people, projects, resources, tools, or saved searches.
- Use follows where available when you want updates about a person or object rather than only a bookmark.
