Top menu anatomy
The top menu (header) is composed of three main layers:
1. Primary navigation
Provides access to main modules:
- Projects
- Events
- News
- Experts
- Marketplace
- Support
- Social
Result:
- Opens the landing page or list view of the selected module
2. Global Search
A cross-platform search tool.
Use it when:
- you know the topic but not the content type
- you want to search across all modules at once
Results may include:
- resources
- projects
- experts
- events
- news
It acts as a routing mechanism across the platform.
3. Utility controls
Located on the right side of the header.
Typical controls:
- Notifications
- Messaging
- Favourites
- User menu (profile, workspace, settings)
- Language switcher
- Theme toggle
Result:
- Continue personal workflows without leaving the current page
